Attachment Patterns and their Relationship to Social Adjustment among Kindergarten Children in Jordan

This research aims to discover the relationship between styles of attachment for ‎children in Jordanian kindergarten and their social adjustment by using descriptive ‎correlational method. Where sample consisted (130) children, whom (72) females (58) males were chosen randomly. To reach ‎the goals study, two tools utilized. First, Social ‎Adjustment Scale, which 25 items. These items answered children’s’ teachers. The ‎second scale is patterns that included three dimensions: Secure, Insecure –‎Avoidant, Anxiety. It consists 20 mothers. indications ‎validity reliability achieved through testing validity structure content, was tested determining Cronbach's alpha Split half Reliability. findings ‎showed there a strong positive ‎and secure with Pearson’s correlation equal 0.76. Furthermore, negative observed ‎adjustment Insecure-Avoidant ‎equal -0.66, as well found anxiety -0.72. ‎findings demonstrate statistically significant variation on mean (2.55), females, ‎(2.78) no differences at 0.05 level significance ‎‎between all patterns.‎
